TAMI SHEENA, MA
Licensed Professional Counselor - Associate
Supervised by Louise Dreyfus, MA, LPC-S, LMFT-S
My work embodies my passion. It started with my passion for learning about psychology and well-being of children and teens that led me to further my education. I draw on multiple approaches to personalize treatment that’s just right for you, and believe that unconditional positive regard and a non-judgmental attitude helps to create a safe space where healing and transformation can be achieved.
I believe in the importance of meeting you in the “here and now”.
I believe that helping people learn the value of self-compassion creates growth and positive changes.
Whatever brings you into therapy, I am ready to learn about you and how we can create change together.
I received my bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of St. Thomas in Houston. I then earned a master’s degree in counseling psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute, with an emphasis on marriage and family therapy, professional clinical counseling, and depth psychology.
I’m available for in-person and virtual sessions. I help people with anxiety, depression, ADHD, ASD, mood disorders, relationship issues, bereavement, interpersonal relationships, trauma, perfectionism, rejection, and low self-esteem.
“We think we listen, but very rarely do we listen with real understanding, true empathy. Yet listening, of his very special kind, is one of the most potent forces for change that I know”.
