Friendships, Dating, and Succeeding in Life as a High Schooler on the Autism Spectrum

Navigating the social and academic challenges of high school can be tough, especially for teens on the autism spectrum. Join us weekly in creating a safe, supportive space for teens to gain hands-on practice in important social skills, explore their emotions and those of others, and develop their abilities to communicate in many different areas.

Topics include:

  • Cultivating maturity

  • Transitioning from middle school to high school

  • Preparing for the transition to college

  • Making and keeping friends

  • Identity development and self-expression

  • Building their ‘social toolkit’

  • Problem solving common adolescent challenges

  • Managing stress and negative emotions

  • Connecting with peers on the spectrum

Led by Dr. Trent Everett P.H.D. and Sarah Scott, LPC-Intern.
