Social Skills Playgroup for Middle Schoolers on the
Autism Spectrum

Navigating the social and academic challenges of middle school can be tough, especially for students on the autism spectrum. Join us weekly in creating a safe, supportive space for teens to gain hands-on practice in important social skills, explore their emotions and those of others, and develop their abilities to communicate in many different areas.

Topics include:

  • Navigating increasing demands at school

  • Making and keeping friends

  • Setting and meeting goals

  • Developing strategies to stay organized and motivated in class and other settings

  • Managing stress, frustration, and anger

  • Building a ‘social toolkit’

  • Strengthening independent problem-solving skills

Led by Dr. Trent Everett P.H.D. and Sarah Scott, LPC-Intern.
