It can be overwhelming to face mental health challenges and even harder to do it alone. If you’ve been feeling stuck, anxious, or just not like yourself, I want you to know that support is available and positive change is within reach.
As a licensed professional counselor and Houston native, I offer a warm, empathetic space where you can safely explore your life experiences and emotions. I love working with clients of all ages and cultural backgrounds, and I’m also fluent in Spanish.
My passion for counseling comes from getting to know my clients’ unique stories and creating evidence-based treatments that support their goals. I take time to understand each client’s full story, your mind, relationships, and values, to create a therapy experience that truly fits who you are. My goal as a therapist is to help you notice what’s not working, gently shift old patterns, and build a stronger, more compassionate relationship with yourself.
I have completed training in Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) therapy through the International OCD Foundation. ERP is the gold-standard treatment for Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD), supporting both adults and children in facing intrusive thoughts while reducing compulsive behaviors. Families are also an important part of the process and are included in the treatment journey to promote lasting success and support at home.
I have also completed EMDRIA-approved training in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing). EMDR is a powerful, trauma-informed approach that helps the brain reprocess painful memories, reducing emotional intensity and supporting healing from PTSD, anxiety, panic, depression, and other distressing experiences.
In addition to EMDR and ERP, I offer Cognitive Behavioral and Person-Centered Therapy. These approaches help clients develop healthy coping skills, set boundaries, increase emotional regulation, and move beyond patterns that no longer serve them, empowering lasting growth and change.
Evening and Saturday appointments are available to help meet the needs of busy individuals and families. Whenever you're ready, I’m here to help you take that next step toward feeling more grounded, empowered, and connected.
A bit about me:
I enjoy spending quality time with my family and friends, and I stay active with yoga and Latin dance classes. At home, I have a tabby cat named Tommy who keeps me company, and I hope to add a puppy to the mix soon! I earned my Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of St. Thomas. My journey as a counselor began with the hope of helping clients navigate their challenges, discover their strengths, and achieve personal growth and fulfillment. I find it incredibly inspiring to witness my clients’ growth and see them step into the life they’ve envisioned!
Wishing you health and well-being! ¡Les deseo salud y bienestar!
