Welcome!

Beginning therapy can be both exciting and terrifying, and it takes a great amount of courage to begin the process of your mental health journey. As a Houston native, I enjoy working with clients from all cultures and backgrounds and can provide counseling in Spanish as well. My passion for counseling is powered by learning my clients’ unique stories and developing evidence-based treatments that best support their therapeutic goals. As you or your child’s therapist, I will utilize a holistic individualized approach with the goal of challenging unhealthy patterns of thinking and behavior while compassionately implementing new forms of self-understanding.

I work collaboratively with my clients using evidence-based interventions from Cognitive-Behavioral and Person-Centered Therapy. I aim to help you develop healthy coping skills, recognize your strengths through self-compassion, setting healthy boundaries within yourself and others, emotional regulation, and anything else that keeps you from experiencing life the way you want.

I have worked with children, teens, and adults with a variety of issues including general or social anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, ASD, self-esteem issues, and substance abuse. With previous experience in the Adulting Program as an intern student, I offered executive function coaching for individuals to cope with ASD and the improvement of their daily activities. While working in the program, I collaborated with young adults and their families on developing prosocial communication and interaction for building life skills. Prior to joining the Conative Group, I led a positive parenting skills-building group. I provided guided psychoeducation that covered regulating technology and strengthening parents’ relationships with their children. I have a passion for working with children, teens, and their families.

I earned my Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of St. Thomas and my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Houston Downtown.

Therapy should be done at your own pace, allowing for autonomy, and making room for all emotions and thoughts that may come up. We can explore your mental health journey in a warm, friendly, sometimes humorous, and non-judgmental space filled with empathy and unconditional positive regard.

I hope to meet you soon and am excited to join you on your journey!
