VIRTUAL GROUP THERAPY
Parents of Young Adults with ASD
SESSION DATES:
September 9 - November 18, 2021
Thursdays @ 7:00PM - 8:00PM (CST) via ZOOM
Young adults with ASD often still live in their parent’s homes and have difficulty engaging in an adult lifestyle. Parents often feel frustrated, confused, and worried when their bright, seemingly capable child does not take necessary steps to achieve independence.
This group focuses on helping parents understand how developmental differences come into play for young adults with ASD and how to create a a plan which fosters independence. Group topics provide hands-on tools for parents about how to set boundaries, require systematic development of adult skills, minimize screentime, and more. A brief interview is required prior to registration.
